The Bauchi State Police Command commenced the 2026 police recruitment screening exercise at the Police Training School, Bauchi, on 9 March 2026. The screening is conducted by officials of the Police Service Commission (PSC) alongside officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

2.Representatives of the Federal Character Commission, the Office of the Head of Service (Bauchi), the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), NDLEA and the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) were present to observe the process. A total of over 300 candidates were screened on the first day.

3.Commissioner of Police CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc(+), visited the venue, commended the hitch-free and transparent conduct, and warned applicants to be wary of scammers. He emphasised that the recruitment is absolutely free and no payment is required at any stage.

4.DCP AY Dickson, Police Team Leader for the screening, urged candidates from Bauchi State to maintain punctuality as the exercise enters its second day.
